- This Weeks Tip........................................... Please don't skimp on the oil you put into your 2 Stroke Outboard. Use a brand with ANY Outboard Manufacturer's name on it! (See photo) We suggest you call all your local Outboard Dealers and see who sells Name-brand oil in bulk at a discount. Bring your own labeled container and have them fill it up. You can even add the proper amount of fuel stabilizer to the container before you have it filled. That way you are doubly protected against bad oil AND stale fuel! (Please see link,"SAVE MONEY AND HASSLES"or click on the oil container) All TCW-3 oil IS NOT the same! The no-name brands may be cheaper, but as the old adage goes, "you get what you pay for!" A name brand oil assures you that you are putting the best into your expensive investment! You have to remember, you can buy a whole lot of "expensive oil" for the cost of a Powerhead! We have seen many well-cared-for Outboards come to an early end due to the owner trying to "save a few bucks". Penny-wise and pound-foolish, we say! Buy the best and pass up the rest! Remember: The most expensive thing you can put in an engine is cheap oil. Happy Boating!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
